NEXOS.Group maintains active research partnerships in robotics, AI and automation — among others with Deggendorf Institute of Technology. In unmanned ground vehicles we work with Fraunhofer FKIE in Wachtberg on communication, information processing and the ergonomics of autonomous systems.
We have also gathered experience with autonomous inspection under competition conditions. At the Robotics Challenge held in Australia by the International Atomic Energy Agency together with CSIRO Data61, the task was to drive an unmanned ground vehicle autonomously through a test setup of mock storage containers, identify and count them, read their markings, measure radiation and transfer the results into a database — described under plant inspection.
The firmware and KyROS software of the PALLAS.75 are to be published; the repositories are not public yet. Publication will be through our organisation on GitHub. For academic projects, and for customers who will not accept a black box, we grant access on request — just ask.
